It entails the collection of data through topographic surveys or aerial mapping. The results are usually in the form of topographical maps or digital terrain models (DTM) which are mainly used by engineers and planners to precisely design and plan how to implement their projects.
Point Cloud data is collected using planes with Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) equipment’s or Survey grade Drones. Static GPS Receivers are concurrently observing during the flight time to reduce the data to ground level. The data is submitted to the client in form of a universal format, mostly XYZ data, for the design work.
